« on: November 13, 2007, 06:42:12 PM »

Good work everybody! You've been learning a lot in science.  This week we are starting the Periodic Table of the Elements- chapter 16.  We are exploring deeper into chemistry and the nature of the atom. Using the elements of the sea to make salt water for our ocean tank, chemical reaction experiments, and an element art poster are all happening next.  Hippy

11/14  Demonstration: Chemiluminescence   with questions/notes
11/15  Read chapter 16, section 1 p.498-510. Answer section 1 review QQ 1-4 p510.
Be prepared to discuss & share.
11/16 Study the Periodic Table on pages 504-505.  Take 2 collumn notes (Cornell Notes) on 10 facts you see in the Periodic Table.  Example: the largest group is the metals.
